Ms. Brown was born on September 10, 1961. She is a divorced, mother of three children. She received an Associate's Degree in Applied Business, from the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Brown is currently a member of Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, GA.

LIVED2TELL is her testimony.

Cheryl's story . . .

Ms. Brown's primary breast cancer occurred at the age of 24, at which time, her left breast was removed and a saline implant was installed. At the age of 31, she experienced her second occurrence with cancer and had to undergo chemotherapy and radiation. Shortly, thereafter, the saline implant ruptured and had to be removed. Tram Flap reconstructive surgery (which involves removing stomach muscles and using them to rebuild the breast area) was performed. After the surgery, the Tram Flap failed and Lift reconstructive surgery (which involves using the back muscle to rebuild the breast area) was performed to complete the reconstruction process. This was only the beginning of the challenges that God allowed her to go through in order to build her faith and trust in Him.

At the age of 38, Ms. Brown was stricken with breast cancer for the third time and had to undergo chemotherapy, surgery, chemotherapy again after the surgery, and radiation. With God's grace and mercy she was able to overcome. During this time, the Spirit of God spoke to her concerning her purpose for life:

  • to start an organization that would allow her to reach out to other cancer patients;

  • to encourage and educate women of all ages, including teenagers, to become aware of their bodies, to get yearly checkups, and mammography, where applicable, and

  • to be an example of how God has allowed her to "Live to Tell" her story.

After dealing with three occurrences with cancer, Ms. Brown needed a change in her life. When God made that change, her life took on a new beginning, which lead Ms. Brown to LIVED2TELL.
